“Swami’s is named after the infamous point break in Southern California where we spent a lot of time surfing.

Formed in the US in 2000 we’ve always been quite nomadic but are currently based in London.

The Hindi name Swami means master and that sets a precedent for us to work with, we have a handful of global shapers that we collaborate with to celebrate the art of original board building.

Art, design and craft inform all the products we make which as we say are Made on High.

The visual aspect of the boards translates through to all the products we make and has led to collaborations with Paul Smith and Orlebar Brown. We’re currently sold in Colette (Paris) and Baycrews (Japan). As the old adage goes, ‘surfing isn’t a sport it’s an art form’ and I guess we’re always trying to aspire to that.”
